 Gain skills and experience in how to turn your passion into a successful venture. Entrepreneurial skills are more important for enhancing your career than ever. This summer, gain access to a 21-century mindset, leadership techniques, and tools that will enable you to turn your passions into successful ventures. Practice entrepreneurial thinking to solve global and local community issues and drive business startups.
HIGHLIGHTS

  • Develop entrepreneurship skills, while learning from leaders in Portland’s thriving small business community as you discover what it takes to make a business successful.
  • Create and pitch your own business idea.
  • Collaborate with talented, driven students from around the world.
  • Get a taste of the American college experience as you live and learn on a beautiful costal campus in Maine.
  • Participate in fun weekend activities, like a trip to Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts and watch a baseball game.

OVERVIEW

  • Program Length: 3 weeks
  • Dates: July 9th – July 29th
  • Develop your entrepreneurship skills
  • Based in South Portland, Maine at Southern Maine Community College (SMCC)
  • Participants include students on scholarship through the Baltic-American Freedom Foundation, American students, and students from other countries.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Students must be 15-19 years old.
  • Students must achieve an ELTiS score of at least 230, demonstrating strong speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in English. Applicants will be interviewed to verify English fluency prior to acceptance.

Note: Test will be conducted at SYTO OFFICE

REQUIREMENTS
Must Provide

  • Introductory letter from school
  • Copies of academic transcript of years spent in school
  • 2 passport size photograph
  • Valid Passport
  • Photocopy of your front and back school ID card
  • Very recent bank statement from sponsor(3-4 months transaction) with a sponsorship letter
  • An application form with International Student ID card worth of Ghc 50
  • Consent letter from parents

Note: If it is a bank statement of a business entity it should be accompanied with Form A, tax clearance, business certificate
Deadline for submission of documents: FEBRUARY 21, 2018
 
PROGRAMME FEE

  • Non refundable Registration fee of $200 (Note. The registration fee of $200 includes your notarized affidavit and this is paid once you apply for the program.
  • Program fee: $3,800 ( Does not include visa fee)          
  • Visa fee : $ 160 ( please note this would be depend on the rate)
  • Pocket Money : $ 500
  • Air Ticket: Around  $1200-1500

PROTOCOL SERVICES BY SYTO GHANA
SYTO GHANA is the official sponsor of the Global Entrepreneurship programme for participating Ghanaian students.  SYTO will therefore provide students with the administrative support services to facilitate the procurement of J-1 VISAS from the US Embassy and also provide all other travel support services with our partner MNJ travel and Tours.
 
1.Visa interviews
SYTO will procure visa interview dates at the American Embassy in Accra for all students on the program.
Please note: Each student will attend a visa interview before visa is issued. SYTO does not guarantee that all students will receive visas BUT we will provide them with the necessary support services
 
2. Departure Services
SYTO will provide protocol services for departure services at the airport. Protocol personnel will be at the airport to facilitate departure from Ghana. The protocol officer will appoint a specific TIME for all students to ARRIVE at the airport. It is important all students adhere to the instructions of the protocol personnel to facilitate departure formalities at the airport.
