No SYTO Club at your school? Start one in three steps.
Gather
Form Your Founding Team
Bring together at least 5 students who share a passion for travel, skills, and youth development. Identify a faculty advisor at your institution.
Apply
Submit Your Application
Get in touch with your team details, institution information, and a brief plan for your first semester of activities. We will guide you through the registration process.
Launch
Get Chartered & Start
Once approved, you'll receive your SYTO Club charter, starter resources, and a regional coordinator to guide your first events.

Who can join a SYTO Club?
Anyone who takes part in SYTO's community. In 2026 we broadened membership beyond students, any individual, organisation, institution, student, youth, volunteer, educator, parent or host family who receives SYTO's services is a SYTO Club member. Clubs are hosted in Senior High Schools, universities, host families and community youth groups.
How do I register and what is the membership card?
You register online and are issued a SYTO membership card, renewable annually. The card is your gateway to club activities, events and access to SYTO's programmes across the network.
How much does membership cost?
Membership dues are set by SYTO and designed to be affordable, with the annual card renewal included. Dues support club activities, event organisation, and access to SYTO's national programmes.
What if there's no club at my school?
You can start one. All you need is 5 students, a faculty advisor, and an institution willing to host. We'll provide the charter, resources, and a regional coordinator.
What activities do clubs run?
Activities are built around five thematic areas: purpose travel & cultural exchange, digital youth skills, leadership development, international exposure, and entrepreneurship. Think heritage trips, coding workshops, leadership training, student exchanges, and pitch competitions, each club tailoring activities to their campus.
Can clubs collaborate across countries?
Yes, that's one of the biggest benefits. SYTO Clubs across 6+ African countries regularly collaborate on virtual exchanges, joint events, and cross-border projects.
