About the Programme
Ghana's centuries of tradition and its diverse ethnic groups have created a rich culture that remains an important part of daily life. SYTO's Cultural Immersion Programme is a 3–4 week journey mixing people, nature, history, and the present, giving participants an authentic connection to Ghanaian heritage, food, music, and community.

What's Included
Ghana Experience
The core immersion tour: in-country orientation, hands-on workshops, cultural exchange, and study tours to Ghana's most iconic heritage sites.
- In-country orientation
- Workshops: cooking, beadmaking, drumming, dancing, material design
- Intercultural communication and food experiences
- Impactful project participation and study tours
Drumming & Dance
Around 40 hours of lessons in five popular traditional drumming styles and dances, taught by skilled local drummers. Participants can even have a drum made to take home.

Language Immersion
Learn the basics of Ghana's major languages, Hausa, Ga, Ewe, Twi, and Dagomba, through interactive courses, language games, and conversation with native speakers. English lessons are also available.
Home-Stay
Live and fully integrate with a Ghanaian host family in a rural or urban setting of your choosing. Many participants leave feeling like family and stay in touch for years.
